My research interests focus on molecular biology, immunology, and clinical mycology, particularly the molecular mechanisms of infectious and immune-mediated diseases. I am interested in host–pathogen interactions, fungal pathogenesis, and the application of molecular and genetic approaches to study genetic mutations in human disorders, with the aim of improving diagnosis and treatment strategies.

After graduating as the top-ranked student in the College of Science at the University of Duhok, 2011, I began my academic career as a teaching assistant, delivering undergraduate courses in biology and related life science subjects. In recognition of my academic excellence, I was awarded a scholarship to pursue an M.Sc. in Infection and Immunity at the College of Medicine, University of Leicester, UK, 2014. Studying in a research-intensive and student-centered educational environment provided valuable exposure to modern pedagogical approaches and teaching practices. This experience enhanced my teaching skills, fostering greater student engagement and academic achievement. Following the completion of my M.Sc. degree, I joined the General Directorate of Scientific Research Center at University of Salahaddin- Erbil as a Researcher, 2017. During this period, I conducted scientific research projects, collaborated with multidisciplinary research teams, and contributed to peer-reviewed scientific publications. This experience strengthened my research capabilities and enhanced my ability to integrate scientific inquiry into teaching. In 2022, I returned to University of Duhok and joined the Department of Medical Microbiology as a Lecturer. Since then, I have been responsible for teaching the Infection and Immunity module to third-year medical students. In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I actively engage in academic research and participate in departmental and college committees.
