About the Department
The Arabic Language Department was established in the College of Basic Education in 2019. It offers a four-year undergraduate program leading to a Bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language and Literature, qualifying graduates to work in educational, cultural, and research institutions as teachers and specialists. The department equips students with essential linguistic and literary skills, as well as the scientific knowledge necessary for their professional future, with a strong emphasis on critical thinking and literary and methodological analysis.
The academic program is characterized by a scientific and comprehensive approach, including courses that provide students with an in-depth understanding of the foundations of the Arabic language, its sciences, and its literature, in addition to research and practical skills.

Description
The Arabic Language Department is dedicated to teaching the sciences, literature, and arts of the Arabic language, including grammar, morphology, rhetoric, literature, criticism, linguistics, and lexicography, along with pedagogical courses that qualify students for the teaching profession with high competence.
The department grants a Bachelor’s degree in Basic Education – Arabic Language specialization, and it provides students with academic, intellectual, and practical training that enables them to comprehend the linguistic and literary heritage and apply research and critical skills according to modern scientific methodologies.
Furthermore, the department enriches cultural life within and beyond the college through academic seminars, literary forums, and cultural festivals. Goals
The Arabic Language Department aims to achieve a comprehensive set of academic and educational objectives aligned with the mission of the college and university.
